Other Leagues' Positions

Positions are formed at national, state, and local levels. While national positions form the network for action at the national level, those positions can also be applied at stat and local levels. State and Local Leagues can develop their own positions for things not covered by LWVUS or for expanding those national positions to better fit state or local needs.

LWV National Capital Area Positions

The LWV National Capital Area (LWVNCA) positions cover issues in the region including and surrounding the District of Columbia in Maryland and Virginia. Leagues in the LWVNCA region, including both the LWV of Maryland and the LWV of Virginia, have come to agreement on some issues that affect the entire region, such as transportation.
